As a result of the Kurdish people’s failure to reach national consciousness and the policies of the occupying states, Kurdish existence has fallen into serious danger.

The Occupying States, through the assimilation, suppression and massacre policies they have implemented for centuries on the lands of Kurdistan, have completely silenced the voice and demands of the Kurdish people. Today, even while the Iranian State is under the threat of being destroyed, while dozens of people are hanged every day by the murderous Regime because they are Kurdish and from Kurdistan, the Kurds still make no demands; even though, if they wanted, they have sufficient military and equipment power, and could carry their people to absolute independence, they do not take even a single step.

We saw the same situation months ago in Rojava as well: while the Assad Regime had collapsed and all authority had disappeared, the Kurdish forces, who had more than one hundred thousand soldiers and ammunition in their hands, did not even move from their places, did not liberate even a span of land, and moreover lost all their gains against a Murderous, Reactionary Radical Islamist organization. Now, at the beginning of 2026, leaving aside the millions of kilometers of territory and oil wells in their hands, they have become incapable even of putting a Kurdish sign on the doors of their own institutions.

Again, the Kurdistan Autonomous Administration in northern Iraq, meanwhile, has become occupied with its own feudal lordship and tribal games, tribal conflicts, and affairs such as accumulating assets abroad, and has reached the point where it cannot even pay the salaries of the civil servants under its own administration. We are witnessing today that these regional feudal lordships, which have no rights consciousness, no administrative consciousness, no intention of statehood, are now facing the Iraqi state’s attempts to regain authority and completely eliminate federal authority. It is very painful that even those who see themselves as leaders have such a narrow and pitiful horizon that they cannot even dream of an independent country for their people and of being able to govern that country.

The greatest fascist and genocidal Turkish State, meanwhile, continues to operate its hundred-year plans exactly as they are. The PKK leader Öcalan, who is a captive in the hands of the Turkish state and whose words should never have any validity, today is handing over the existence of his own people to the Turkish state, or those incompetent and shortsighted people who think they are carrying out the duty of leadership in his place, as if they do not know that Öcalan is a captive and how murderous and devilish this state is, remain silent and motionless in the face of what is happening. The Turkish state first Turkified politics, then forcibly pushed the Kurdish people into the arms of Turkish nationalists. Despite this Kurdish lack of politics, which they do not want and which still does not sit even a bit inside them, the Kurdish people, unfortunately remaining silent, have been brought to this state by their politicians and leaders.

Only the Kurdistan Independence Movement and belief can cope with this helpless and pitiful situation. Because Kurdistan does not exist, no mass and valid reaction can be shown today to anything that is happening; the existence of the Kurds continues to be chewed like gum in the mouths of the occupying states. Escaping this situation will be possible only through the existence of an Independent Kurdistan.

There are Kurdish leaders, Thinkers and Masses who have adopted this purpose as their principle. What is important will be the bringing together of this mass, and the attempts to remove the occupying states from Kurdish lands through common and consistent reactions and decisions.

This writing of mine is the declaration of the establishment of the Kurdistan Independence Platform.
