We all came into the world as human beings. Of course, I agree with that. But are we still human? I am not sure.

Look around you: how many people’s wounds have you touched, and how many steps have you taken to heal them? And look around again: how many living beings have you hurt?

The one thing you can be most certain of is that the pain you have caused is greater than the healing you have offered.

Why?

When you were a child, how much did you revolve around the people who revolved around you? Of course, you do not have to. But you are human, aren’t you? And being human requires having a conscience. So how much conscience do you really have?

Did you not classify people? Did you not ignore them? Did you not call someone ignorant just because they did not know what you knew?

living being who thinks itself human, to which living creature have you given a glass of water? You ate them, you fed yourself with them; how many times did you feed them?

Now it is time to gather the results and see what remains. Subtract what you did not do from what you did. However far the remainder takes you into the negative, that is exactly how human you are.

Find your own answer: you are either a creature or a human being. There is no place in between.

Now, are you sure?

Are you human?
