This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect on this website, why, and your rights. We aim to collect as little data as possible.

Visit statistics

We use a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics system. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies for this. For each page view we store the page, an approximate country (provided by our network provider, Cloudflare), the chosen language, the referring source and the device type. Visitors are counted using a salted, non-reversible hash of the IP address and browser; we do not store your raw IP address and cannot identify you personally from this data.

If you subscribe, we store your e-mail address and chosen language to notify you when a new article or video is published. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every e-mail. E-mails are delivered through our processor Resend.

Donations & payments

If you support the site, payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. Your card and payment credentials are handled directly by these providers and are never seen or stored by us. We store only the amount, currency, payment method and — where provided — your name and e-mail, in order to issue a receipt and keep our records.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, we receive the name, e-mail, phone number, subject and message you provide, solely to respond to your request.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: one that remembers your language preference, and — for the site administrator only — a login session cookie. Payment providers may set their own cookies during checkout. We do not use advertising cookies.

Processors

We rely on: Cloudflare (content delivery, security, connectivity), Stripe and PayPal (payments) and Resend (e-mail delivery). Each processes data only as needed to provide its service.

Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law.
