Amedspor, which is currently on the rise in the Republic of Turkey, is the best-known and strongest football club in Kurdistan, and to this day it has also been the most recognized and most debated club.
Those who know Amedspor well know that it has only been strong in Kurdistan and that, until now, it has always lost against football teams belonging to the Turkish state or has not even been able to face them. It is also clear and obvious that none of Amedspor’s players have particularly deep-rooted or brilliant career backgrounds.
So why has Amedspor today become capable of defeating even the strongest teams of the Turkish state?
The reason is not football. It is not because Amedspor is displaying exceptionally good football. Nor is it match-fixing or bribery. The only reason is that politics requires it to be this way.
In order for the Kurdish people not to possess Kurdistan, in order for them to give up on Kurdistan and forget it, and in order for them to become fully integrated into the social structure of the Turkish state, the most Kurdish of Kurdish teams — even carrying a Kurdish name — must rise within the Turkish league, come into the spotlight and allow the Kurdish people to experience the feeling of victory.
Social engineering means saying “Look, a bird is flying by” to someone from whom you are taking something or whose pocket you are stealing from. While that person raises their head and looks where you point, you take what you want and achieve your objective. For this not to work, the person on the other side must have reached a level at which they understand your intention.
The social equivalent of this is that while a people’s language, culture, past and struggle/objective are being taken away from them, they are simultaneously given some kind of gain by the society into which they are being integrated.
There are so many genetically racist and fascist people living under the Turkish state that the Turkish state knows it cannot even offer the other side any form of freedom while their presence remains. And since the entire reason for the Turkish state’s existence is based on eliminating the Kurds, instead of granting them any rights, giving them a power today that will put them to sleep, silence them and incorporate them into the Turkish state’s social system is enough for Kurds who are unaware of their own history and culture — but not for those of us who know what is happening!
If you remember, during the rise of the AKP, they also drew the lower classes to their side. While enriching business owners on one hand and seizing the property of the people for their own political camp on the other, they also enabled local teams from the lower leagues to win in higher leagues, thereby gaining millions of supporters.
What is happening today is the same thing.
While the DEM–Öcalan–PKK equation is handing the Kurds over to the AKP and the Turkish state, the image of Amedspor achieving victories has also been put into operation by the AKP in order to put the people to sleep and keep them occupied.
The essence of the matter is that what is happening is not a football achievement.
It is a political theatre serving the disappearance of the Kurds!
And remember: a Kurdish football team is successful not when it competes in the league of a country that colonizes it, but when it competes in the Kurdistan National League and represents Kurdistan in the Champions League!
